TSI editor’s note: This morning on “the home for alternative economics and contrarian views,” Maneco64 makes the case that silver is still an efficient medium of exchange, despite the arguments against physical transactions in an increasingly digital world. He contends that because coinage in circulation is worth very little today, people assume it would be cumbersome to carry around in the future. Rather, the opposite is true, as gold and silver store so much more value in a smaller space, one wouldn’t need very much to transact.
